Soil Health
Conventional farming practices lead to erosion of humus and long-lasting degradation of soil.
We aspire to be good stewards of our land and utilise various techniques to maintain and improve our soil, so that it can remain fertile and feed future generations.
We reduce and wherever possible eliminate tillage and soil compaction, we add calcium to balance out acidic soil, we apply natural fertilisers and plant cover crops. Precision farming technologies lower the application of inorganic fertilisers and pesticides in our fields.
We are continuously learning how to make our production more environmentally friendly by performing numerous in-house trials targeted at reducing inputs of chemicals and conserving organic matter and fertility of our soil.
